Should I frag??

I have a Acro sp. that took a tumble in my tank and landed partially on some zoanathids. Bleaching has occured on two of the branches where the Acro hit the Zoas, running from the terminal polyp for about 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Should I remove these branches, to prevent damage to the rest of the colony?

i wouldn't, i would let it heal. i have had acros do the same thing, and as long as its not rtn'ing i think it will heal.

I had a new acro that had some bleeching because it touched another acro at the LFS. I wasnt sure at the time if it was RTN or whatever, so I fragged it to be on the safe side. The bleached part on the frag has since healed.

Just keep an eye on it, if you notice it getting worse or if algae is starting to grow there, then frag it.

I leave mine alone, the only time I worry is if I can see actual flesh comming off if not i leave it alone.
