Should I keep both daytime and actinic on?

Hi all. I have a Finnex M32 with the stock lighting wich is 2x55watt PC bulbs one daytime and one actinic.

Should I keep both daytime and actinic on at the same time? The actinic seems a little too bright to leave on all night while the fish sleep. Is there any benefit to keep both on (broader light spectrum)??

Thanks for the help :D

You should have the lights on a timer so that they run together for a 10 hour period and then shut off. Some people run the actinics 2 hours before and after the daylights to supposedly simulate dawn and dusk but that is up for debate. The tank inhabitants need the time without light for sleep as well as the nocturnal life needs it to feed. I run my lights together from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on a timer.
