Should I spot-feed my open brain?

Newbie question. Do LPS need to be spot feb like ricordia or do they only filter feed like softies?

Some people never feed their LPS, some feed them daily. I like to give mine a decent meal a couple times a week after lights-out, and let them catch what they can during the day when the fish eat. Most LPS will take fair sized chunks of food. I feed my hammers, fox, torch and acan with pieces about 1/8" across. My open brain and bubble coral are both pigs, they can easily swallows 1/4" - 1/2" pieces of silverside.
