Should I take the cover off?

I got a Seio 1100 and I have softies, lps, etc...

Should I leave the covers on like the left or take it off like the 2 on the right?

like the 2 on the right you can adjust the flow down by using the sleeve that rotates

Instead of the bulky hanger I used 2 magfloats 2-1/2"X3" to mount the 2 I have. Doesn't look near as big.

i just mounted mine box style like in the first pic.
