Should I use super glue to hold new mushroom down?

I have read that allot of people will use gell super glue on the coral it self. I don't want to hurt the little guy, but I don't want it floating arround. Right now i have a rubber band on it. I guess it could take a long time to adhere itself. What would you do? The mushroom is not attached to a rock.

I've tried gluing mushrooms and it didn't seem to hurt the mushroom also have tried rubberband them but the rubberband always seems to wear out eventually so it depends on if the mushroom will attach. If I had it rubberbanded already it would give it a week or two to see if attaches it self before I glued it but gluing doesn't seem to have that adverse effect you think to the coral.

I think I might just glue it because being forced down by a rubberband can be that good on it.

One thing I've seen done is to use the plastic mesh-like stuff that grapefruit, potatoes, grapes come in. You just cut a square of it out, but it over the softy - and bubberband the plastic to the rock. The softy gets flow and lighting, put the mesh is what takes the force of the rubberband.

I got one to stick in about a week by using white bridal veil netting fabric in the same way that SoupySteve recommended. Very cheap at Wal-Mart in the fabric dept.

The rubberband can split it in half again if it's too tight, or it can float away if its not tight enough. I prefer to use the veil or mesh netting too. You can hold that down with rubberbands on both sides to put pressure on the frag until it conects. I have also used toothpicks back in the day, but thats just a pain in the butt. Go with a type of mesh material for best results.

I meant to add that I usually only use the glue for hard corals. You can use mesh, rubberbands and/or toothpicks for most soft corals.
