I need to rearrange the live rock in my tank to make it look like something other than a pile of rock. Can you guys or girls show me some pick of your rock work so I can get some ideas. Also, tell me how you did it.
I like the "Pile 'o' rocks" look as much as I like the bonsai look. To me, it's how much work you are willing to put into it, and how much room the corals have to spread. Here's my 20g.
Simple and easy. And the corals have plenty of room to spread.
I don't have any pics atm but my mission was to build as many caves and tunnels as possible for my fish to swim through and hang out in. started with some bigger and some small pieces on the bottom and then found long and skinny pieces at LFS to build "bridges" if you will. Branch rock can also come in handy for this..
This video has been posted elsewhere but I thought it shows the rockwork pretty good. It has a lot of vertical rock to it. including the giant stack in the middle for the anemone. and there are tons of caves and caverns down bellow.
