Show off your B&W ocellaris!!

Here are mine, had for about 2 years. Female never lost her orange nose and is definitely in charge, male is solid black. They host in a RBTA.

They ignore both anemones right now.

The Female in her RBTA. I was lucky to buy her full grown so she was already completely black. I'm not sure how old she is, but she was my first fish so I've had her for a year.

The little male with his orange nose and miss-bar.
I bought him as a juvi a few months ago after her first boyf vanished (possibly stressed to death / jumping... she's quite a chaser!) She's still keeping him at a distance, but over the last couple of weeks he's been allowed closer to the nem... so we're getting there!

Some pics together so show the size difference...

my trouble maker female that I keep alone since she is so bossy, since she has no male, she spends her days bossing around the jawfish and laying on his hole entrance trapping him in side.

Very nice everyone...please keep them comming

Here's a picture of my pair. The male is the black and white, the female is the orange and white. They have been laying eggs every 10-11 days now and I haven't been successful with getting them to live past day 5. I have a clutch now that hatched Wednesday night and I have my rotifers ready, so we'll see what happens. I'm anxious to see what color the fry will turn out to be!

Here's my little guy (sorry about the crappy pic). I just got him on Tuesday. I already want to get him a mate! I think him and a regular occy would look really cool. If I got an occy that was smaller than "him" do you think they would pair, or at least get along?

They were doing all kinds of agressive action/shimmying etc. last night, so I'm wondering if they have already paired up....at any rate, they are best buddies, and never get more than about 2" apart.

This is a pic of my pair taken a few months ago. i will try to take some updated pics soon.

Female is all black whilst the male still has his orange nose.

They are getting fairly rare in the wild now. I saw my last wild one late last year.

Lewy, Nice Pair! I really like the WC ones from Darwin. I was lucky to get a pair a little over a year ago. They are much nicer than the ORA pair I've had for a couple years. Just a fantastic body shape and color. Hopefully, Darwin is remote enough and croc-Y enough that there will always be a few wild pairs there.

Is there a difference in shape and color in the WC B&W's from Australia vs the ones from ORA?

Where is ORA?

My pair are locally bred. Most likely the same breeder who sends them around the world.

Hopefully I might be able to have have a look at his facilities through a friend.

The batch were I chose mine from had a few misbars like Lancer's.

I have been old that he only replaces his breeders when the batches consistently produces misbars.

Next time that I am out collecting I will take some pics of the areas where they can be found. You will be quite surprised at how accessible they these places are.

"Is there a difference in shape and color in the WC B&W's from Australia vs the ones from ORA?" Sometimes. Mostly in the shape. Sometimes the gills are flared out a tad or the fins are a little off. Some of ORA's clowns are a little stubbier- they even have a line of clowns they call "stubbies" because they are lacking a vertebrae or two. IMO they are the worst looking TR clowns of all. I don't mind color variations-Picasso, snowflake, cotton candy, even naked-but stubbies to me just look wrong-too much like fancy goldfish. To me stubbies are only one step away from a bug-eyed twin tail clown.

My first thought when I saw this pic was OMG! Siamese twins!

Very nice clowns :) If I can get my pair of black and whites to hold still and stop begging for food so that I can get a pic I'll post it :)
