show your QT tanks

I am setting up a Qt. Do i need a skimmer, how do you keep air in the tank for fish to breath? Can you all show how some of the QT tanks are set up I am very visual.

It normally depends on your what you are thinking of placing inside your QT tank. I'll tell you what i have in mine.

I have a external Eheim canister filter that contains ceramic for bacteria and sponge, then i have a heater inside the tank aswell as a air stone for oxygenation for the water.
I do weekly water changes (if needed) and monitor the Ammonia, Nitrite and PH of the tank.

I don't have a pic but I just use one of the 10 gallon FW setups from Wal-Mart. It comes with a power filter and a light. I added a heater and a small MJ powerhead for additional circulation. No need for a skimmer because it will pull out some meds, you'll just need to monitor the water quality. I use waterchanges and prime to keep the ammonia under control. The 10 gal is a good size if you do end up needing to medicate it just might not be great for large fish.
