Shrimp compatibility

I have a 150 gal tank that along with lots of fish has a blood red fire shrimp, scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, 16" serpent starfish, and a 5" purple reef lobster. Everything has been peacefully living together for 6+ months now.

I just bought a 20 gal set up for the coral that was in it. I'm planning on selling everything else off but it does have a banded coral shrimp in it. Could I add that banded shrimp to what I already have? Anyone else house these shrimp together?

Liveaquaria.com states this "Though the Banded Coral Shrimp can be aggressive towards other Banded Coral Shrimp and smaller shrimp of different species, most are peaceful towards fish, corals, and invertebrates within your aquarium"

That has me a bit worried...

I don't know the answer but it seems if your shrimp can handle a lobster the coral banded shrimp would be a piece of cake. It would be a nice collection of crustaceans if it worked but its always a risk of course.

Agreed with Reef Frog. If the lobster hasnt killed em yet....

But at the same time I have heard of scourges and saints....

Is it worth the risk, you can remove a shrmp from a coral

My lobster's been a saint for the last year that I've had him. When I feed him I have seen him pinch an arm on my starfish a couple times when they both go for the same area, but didn't cause any damage.
I think I'll give it a shot. I'll post an update after a week or two

CBS can sometimes become ill tempered like damsels with age, I'm pretty shocked at how peaceful this lobster is, but who is to say the CBS won't stir up trouble either.

The CBS is big. If he does prove to be a mistake to add at least he is big enough that he won't just be able to disappear if i have to remove him.

So far in the 20 gal he is pretty brave as far as coming to my hand for food. I think I could put some food in a net and it would go right in to get it. Hopefully it's a moot point and everyone gets along

In my tank, this week...
At first, the porcelain crab killed the CBS...
In the following day, the fire shrimp killed & ate the boxter crab when it moulted...
So I immediately seperated the remaining older boxter crab, which had never moulted since it entered my tank, from the fire shrimp. And in the next day it moulted, safely.

Porcelain crabs are filterfeeders. They are more harmless then even the smaller hermit crabs. Fire shrimp also won't "kill" they only chase away.. something else is going on in your tank.
