Shrimp ID please

looks like a pistol shrimp but just curious as to what kind. it's about .5 of an inch long.

It's an Alpheus or Synalpheus. Without a really good close up to show various details of the body & the color pattern AND without knowing where it came from (Fiji, Florida, etc) you're not going to get an accurate species id. Sorry. But does appear to be one of the small species that normally live in burrows or rock crevices. It's not a shrimp-associate.
