Is mostly nocturnal , will come out when you turn on blue lights to eat unless you have either pesky fast swimmer or any fish who'd be interested in eating it.
So maybe try to feed it once the day lights are off... It'll eat pretty much anything you feed except maybe pellets at the beginning. So maybe go with frozen at first or even live if it's available to you for a few weeks. But I've seen some end up eating flakes.
What ginping says is true, they are highly nocturnal. Infact, at night their bodies will turn a completely different color; red, in which fish cannot see them (they're blind to the color red).
I would be very careful with these guys though, there isn't a lot of info on them, but those that have kept these guys have said they are very aggressive and not reef safe at all. They get pretty large too some say.
Woah! That's like a completely different color! I have a 15w blue led light for the night on my 70G. I didn't notice a color change tonight. Although just after turning off the lights he seemed finally at ease
