shrimp w/clams

How safe are shrimp with clams and what species?
I've read of cleaner shrimp even picking on healthy clams for mucous.

I've not had any issues with a wide variety of shrimps (including cleaners) and clams. I wouldnt worry much about it.

i would worry about peppermint shrimp. i bought one and it ripped my derasa apart. i got the shrmp out and my clam is still alive but i personally will never put anyother peppermint shirmp in my tank. i have had a skunk cleaner, and i have a bloodred right now and they didnt bother any of my clams.

My cleaner cleaned the shell of my Deresa when it was new, but hasn't gone near it in months.

thanks, thinking of trying a couple sexy anemone shrimp, if not I'll get a skunk cleaner.

I would go with the sexy shrimp if any. I have not had much luck keep shrimp or clams with anything. The seem to steal food and pick at things.

I have 1 skunk cleaner and 1 peppermint in my 24g NanoCube with 3 clams (2 maxima & 1 Squamosa) and have had no problems at all..You should be fine IMO
