Sick blue tang

Hey everybody,
so my hippo tang has been acting very sick for the past 2 days. It started when I put a fish trap in the tank to get him out. Since then, he has been laying side ways and curled up under the rocks. He hasn't moved for 2 days, I thought he was dead but I checked on him with a flash light and noticed his gills still moving and his eyes still looking around, but other than that there is no movement of the body. He's usually the boss of the tank and usually very active. What's going on?

Just some quick background, he's been in my tank for over 2 years now and all the fish in my tank have been quarantined and treated with Cupramine. No new fish have been added into this tank for the past year and a half.

Please help :(

Hippos are kinda notorious for getting themselves wedged in-between (or under) a rock (like a trigger would). But this doesn't explain the sudden change in behavior. Any new coral/invert additions? While these cannot host fish diseases, one can "hitchhike" in on a coral/invert.

2 shrimp were added on wednesday of last week. and all the other fish are acting fine.
i was trying to get him out because he's getting too big for my tank. I took the fish trap out yesterday, but he's still laying on the sand under the rocks. It's been almost 4 days now, I just checked on him and i still see his gills moving and his eyes looking around. Yesterday, he was breathing heavily for a few minutes, which was evident from the sand being blown where his mouth is
