I've looked online and haven't been able to find satisfactory answers, so I thought I'd ask here. And unfortunately, no, I don't have access to a camera
I purchased two True Perculas online, and they arrived this Saturday. This morning I noticed a small cluster of white spots on the female (they weren't there this weekend). They are on the upper right portion of her shoulder, and they haven't gotten any worse in the last 12 hours. There are no spots on the male. Both fish are highly active and energetic, have clean looking gills, and are eating mysis shrimp. However, both fish have had stringy poop that hangs off of their undersides. My questions are:
1. If this is Ich, would the fish be showing other symptoms other than spots, or how long until it would be?
2. What would the likelihood be that a pair of clownfish would show up clean, and then suddenly develop Ich?
3. How long does Ich take from noticing it to death? Should I wait and see what happens?
I have no other fish in the tank, and parameters are good (0 Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, 1.024 SG, 8.4 pH, 79 degrees).
Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreicated.
