sick clownfish

I have a clownfish with white, stringy poop hanging from her rectum and I want to help her out by using Prazipro. Unfortunately I do not have a QT so I pose this question:

Is Prazipro reef safe? Will it completely kill of this bacterial infection/worm/parasite? If my lfs does not carry this product, is there anything else out there that is reef safe that will do the trick?

Immediate Responses are appreciated as my clownfish is sick and possibly dying!!!!!!!:(

Hi Flasher,

you could use Metronidazole.

Which ever you get I would read the bottle and call the manufacture if you want to know they are reef safe. (Just to be on the safe side).

I just treated my entire tank with Prazipro since my clown had the white stringy poop. I felt reasonably confident with doing that since I don't have a refugium or any corals yet.

I just treated with a second dose of Prazipro to kill the eggs. My clown appears to be doing better, but he still doesn't appear to eat.

After doing further reading on here today I think adding garlic to the food and treating with copper medication would also help.
