Sick Elegance Coral?

I picked up this e-coral when I was on a business trip, the owner said it had been in captivity for about 5 years so I jumped on it and it came back with me on the six hour drive.

My only concern was that I had the sick e-coral in the tank when I got home, but I pulled it before putting in this beauty.

Here are someone recent photos, she looks to be doing well but I can't tell...I had to jump on this one because it was going to sell if I didn't buy it on the spot. She was $120.00 which seemed like a fair price, especially with the history of survivability in captivity.

Skeleton of the coral seemed to indicate it is an Indo variety, but I didn't pay much attention when I dropped it in.

Give it an iodine dip, I use iodine from Natureef. I grab the coral, place in a small bucket with tank water and dose iodine according to how much tank water you pulled out. I let it sit for about 10-15 mins. The elegance corals at the shop somtimes suffer from something similar to brown jelly disease/recession. I feel this works the best.

You think the new one looks unhappy or diseased?

I was referring to your first post and elegance coral. But at the shop I have dipped every elegance that comes in, because down the road they have some sort of problem when they stay too long in our tanks.

Mark, that's a great looking coral. Love the colors. Looks healthy to me
