Well I am worried about my rabbitfish, when I first purchased him I qt'd and everything was fine. as soon as I put him in the display he showed signs if ich but only a few spots and they went away quickly. The fish did well for about 1.5 months and now is starting to really worry me. over the last week I noticed he was getting thin especially around the face. He was eating well since i got him. I did post before about the rabbitfish when the Ich first apeared and I bought some algea sheets to help with his diet. now he is lethargic wont move much and for the first time today he has stopped eating. could it be a internal parasite or something else. I am thinking about pulling him tonight and getting him in a hospital tank but would like to know what kind of meds i could try and if I even have any idea of what I would be treating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how long did you quarantine the rabbit?

At this point, you should move all of the fish from DT into QT and treat for ich accordingly. Even though fish can live with low-level infestations of ich (or any parasite), it's not a good life and they would always be under some level of stress, which eventually lead to other types of infection (bacterial, viral, etc). I suspect this is what's happening to your rabbit and you must quickly react before losing this fish. Suddenly stopping to eat is a bad sign!

Please read the sticky to understand more about ich and the proper treatments.

I recommend using Cupramine to treat as it is relatively safe when used correctly, and easier than hyposalinity (during which constant pH adjustment needs to be performed). I also recommend treating for possible flukes with Prazipro while the fish are being treated for ich.
