I put this ? on the sick fish forum yesterday. No one answered me and only 8 peaple looked at the question. So I thought i would try it here. I have Harlequin tusk that has been lying at the bottom of my aquarium for 2 days now. Sometimes he will lay on his side for a couple hours then perch him self back up. He looks extremly bloated. (big belly) Does any one have any thought or suggestions. Thanks.

I have had him for about 2.5 months. He has been super healthy since day one. untill the last couple of days.

What have you been feeding him? Their diet consist of crustacaens, shellfish and live fish.

I have not kept this species of Wrasse but was wondering if the problem could possibly be food related.

Hopefully someone with experience will chime in soon. I'm not sure many people keep this particular fish because they grow quite large.

Sorry he is having problems. I wish I could be of some help.

Big Belly is either:
1) Trapped air (does he swim around in circles almost upside down?) Time will fix this.

2) Parasite(s). Good Luck.

Thanks burntoutreefer, He has developed a habit of swimming in a complete circle and going upside down. Maybe that is what the problem is. Any way to help him?

Bad news, went home for lunch and the crabs were having a very expensive lunch. No more H.T Thanks everyone.
