Sick PJ

Today I bought 5 PJ cardinals. I currently have them in QT and one of then isn't eating any food and is somewhat swimming at a downward angle which in my experience is the first sign that something is wrong. Any ideas on how I can prevent it form getting worse? Just keep adding food and hope? Prazi?

Less than a day... could be acclimation issues. I rarely feed fish the first day, I feel keeping lights off and letting them settle in is more important.

I have 5 PJ cardinals in QT. 3 of them are eating really well. The 4th one hasn't been eating and the 5th on isn't eating as well as swimming down constantly. I'm assuming it's loosing it's ability to maintain its balance due an illness but I don't know what more I can do. Water quality is perfect so that's not the problem.

Did you not just pick these up today? You should have noticed something wrong at the store if it were disease. I'm still leaning toward acclimation issues. Temp/ph/ not adjusted right.

I'm going with the TT transfer method so there wasn't anything to really acclimate them to. The saltwater was freshly made. The power head is pointing up so lots of oxygen is getting in the water. Temp is at 76-78. I'll test for ph and get back to you on that

I don't think we are on the same page here. You said in first post you picked up today. That's why I'm saying something went wrong in transit/acclimation. If this was a fish you have had for a while and was doing good, that would be different. Whats the ammonia test at?
