can anyone id this? i don't think its been there before but i really don't know.. its inbetween the eyes, these are the best photos i could get.. if its sick what do i do to treat it?

Do a google search on Hole in the Head Disease. It's more common among freshwater fish...mostly cichlids, but it is not rare in some marine fish. From what I've seen, it's more common in Tangs that other marine fish, so you're experiencing something that isn't too rare, at all.
