I just got my first SPS yesterday- a pink birdsnest. My LPS have all been doing very well so I figured I would try something new.
Anyways, I have done a lot of reading on keeping SPS and I have a good understanding of what is needed to keep them happy, but I haven't been able to find a good source explaining things to look out for. I'm looking for some detailed information on signs that there is a problem.
The only time I've really seen any SPS is at the LFS. I don't want to be under the impression that everything is well just to find out that my new coral has been actually showing signs of stress. If anyone can point me in the right direction of a good read that would be appreciated.
Also, my new birdsnest is glued to a frag plug, but it's a little rocky on the plug. Should I try to secure it better, or will it still be able to encrust even though it is a little wobbly?
