silicone dry time??

I put some beads of silicone around my overflow bulkheads to seal off a leak. However, the container does not have the dry time on it. How long until I can safely start running water again?

I have the same request, I plan to add a few baffles to my sump tank and needed to know the curing time before I can use my sump.

I've always stuck to a solid 24 hours. Never had any problems.

Wow.. Mine says dry time 24hrs, and 48hrs for a water tight connection.

I would wait an extra day if possible, I had some aquarium silicone disintegrate about 36 hrs after applying it. I was sticking on a bunch of little zip tie fixtures in the sump, in and out of water. All the ones out of water are fine, the ones underwater all peeled off.

I've waited 4 days before when putting baffles in my sump because the smell of the solvent persisted. But I laid it in thick and it likely took some time to dry.

I think waiting a day after all solvent odor is gone would be good.

Overnight should be fine. Make sure the vinegar smell is long gone you should be okay.

it says 24 hours... but i doesnt hurt to let it cure more...

i normally do 36-48 hours
