silicone in aquarium

No make sure it says for Aquarium use. A pet store might have. Or check your hardware store, but you will need to read the fine print.

GE I clear for windows and doors is common at Lowes and Home depot but only for smaller tanks however I believe the GE II should not be used even though it is 100% silicone it has a mildew resistor in it that is not good for aquariums, so use GE I not GE II. The good stuff is RTV 108 you can order it online. there are a lot of threads on RC about silicone's for aquariums if you do a search. Hope this helps
