Silicone to attached background?

Hello. I know silicone isn't a structural bond to acrylic but wondered if it was enough to hold on a thin 3D interior background onto the back wall of an acrylic tank? Thanks.

It's a fine glue, it just won't support a structure bond.

So Yes, but what kind of background? I'm can't image a 3D interior background that isn't just a wall drop. Air or water behind it?

I'd just tack it in a couple places. It's a roll up one from Universal Rock. Water would go right behind it. Thanks for the reply.
