Simplified Skimming Question

Not trying to start the whole dry vs wet skimmate debate but for us nano types, what works best for you?

I'm using a Aquamaxx HOB-1 and I have it set about .5" above the bubble line and get a pretty dark skim. I dump it weekly with a good "rinse only" and then every other week give the cup a good scrub. For me, seems a dirty neck gets a darker skim. I haven't taken it apart yet for an internal cleaning. Its been on my tank for maybe 30 days.

I can tell you this, the skimmer goes nuts when I mount frags, doesn't like epoxy.

Do you like wet or dry skim?
How often do you dump the skimmate?
Type - HOB, internal, or sump mounted?
How often do you clean the cup?
How often do you clean the skimmer?

Just curious if I'm doing the norm or not.

Wet skim all day.
I dump about once a week.
Internal. 9002 Tunze.
I clean when i dump, so once a week. I find it performs better clean.
When im feeling good, skimmer and mp10 gets a good cleaning. This is rare.

Youre okay and normal, no worries.

I guess each system is different, in my local club forum about half like a dirty cup, other half like a clean cup. I know which one smells better
