I am considering on getting a Singapore angel and I am looking for some advice from people who own this species. It is a beautiful fish but I have read that it is very shy. I don’t want to have a fish I will never see. Can someone who owns this species share with me their behavioral patterns and show some pix or vids of this fish? Thanx in advance.

I have had a singapore for about 5 months the only time I see him is when he is grazing around , but for the most part he spends the majority of time out of site. He is a very cool fish when hes active. I dont have any pics to share though.

As salty said most do not eat. They are collected in the Philippines and Indonesia where there are collected with cyanide. I have had mine for over a year and he is a pig. He is out all the time and competes with some pretty large angels for food. If you can get him to eat in the store and it isn't too thin already you might have a chance. I will take a pic of mine and post it for you.

Mine ate like a pig and always saw him swimming. never picked on any corals either. will post a pic in a second if i have time. its an old picture when i first started up..

I have had one for over a year. He eats anything I put in the tank. He is very shy but also very interesting. You alwyas see him poking out from somewhere, but when he comes time to eat he's out there with all the big boys. They also stay relatively small. Good little fish, but as others have said make sure he's eating before you buy.
