Siphon Questions

Ok. My top off box is 24" high. My sump is 16". I use a mini-jet 404. I use just standard clear vinyl tubing. It is now creating a siphon. What I did was drilled a small hole in the tubing near the top. Couple things though.

It does break siphon with the hole

It make some noise by doing this

Even though it's RO/DI water, should I worry about buildup? Although the hole is a decent size.

Can anyone think of a better way of doing this? I was thinking about plumbing to make everything more exact and drilling it like the megaflows. But the mini-jet has a barbed end so would I even be able to plumb it?

Thoughts, suggestions all welcomed.

When all the pumps and everthing else is on you will not be able to hear it gurgling. Leave it alone until you have nothing else to do...

I made that mistake when I set mine up to fill into my sump, so I had to change it to disperse into my display, I actually made it go into my overflow so you can't see it at all

but it has to come out above the water or it'lls iphon tank water back into your FW reservoir
