Sixline wrasse?

Have my sixline wrasse for two weeks alone in the tank and just cruising around pickin on rocks, today he started that looks like attacking his reflection. Is this normal behavior? Will it pass or will I end up taking off the background? thanks

Yeah he's really flaring his fins and everything, really mad. Hes the only one in the tank, probably bored.

He's waiting for you to put some more fish in there so he can terrorize them. This is a very aggressive fish and yours is showing his true colors early on.

I had a baby yellow watchman, he didn't bother him but the goby jumped out and now he's alone again. I'm getting him a starry blenny for a tankmate.

I have one six line wrasse and I haven't seen him do that kind of behavior

Fish like with people vary from each individual. Some will be more aggressive than other, others will have certain quirks that will make them unique.

The six line wrasse in my experience is a slightly more aggressive species than say your fairy or flasher wrasses, and his tank mates should be chosen accordingly. A starry blenny would make a nice tank mate, he should be able to hold his own quite well

Had my 6-line for 3 years before moving and taking my 75 down. He was a model citizen the whole time. Guess it really is a individual fish thing.
