Skilter Cover?

I moved to the area recently and lost the cover for my skilter. I know, I know, it's a skilter, but I had it laying around from when my parents had a tank years ago, and when modified, works well enough for my 10g nano.

Does anyone have just the cover to the skilter they could part with? Without it, salt gets all over everything.

Thanks,
Jonathan

I hate to sound like a retard but what the heck is a skilter?

Im glad I wan't the only one!!!! Skilter?

Took the time to actually look it up......name of a filter or skimmer brand?

The Skilter is (was?) a power filter and skimmer all in one. Needless to say, it does neither very well.

It's counter current with a VERY LOUD venturi on it. With a few modifications it is much quieter and actaully works so-so.

I'm only using it because I had it laying around from a long *long* time ago and I'm on a student's budget.

Jonathan,

I was looking at some of the photos of the thing, and I am sure we could make one. I have some scrap acrylic and all I would need is to trace out the collection cup like thingy. make one piece 1/8 inch bigger than the cup and glue on some tabs to keep it in place.

Just let me know, I am more than willing to lend a hand.

John

i'm a budget reefer as well-- try buying a bakpak skimmer from the classifieds here on rc or over at nano-reef.com. you can usually find them for pretty cheap...around 30-50bucks. :)
