Skimmer for 20 gal reef?

I need a decent skimmer for my 20 Long Reef. Anyone had any experience with the Tunze Nano? Or the AquaC Nano Remora?

I've heard a lot of good things about their larger skimmers, but nothing about the Nano's.

Thanks.

Phil

im thinking about the this question myself for my 20long, i cant say anything from personal experience, but i think the Tunze would be the way to go, just a good company and CS i have only heard good things about them unlike the mixed reviews for AquaC

Hey Guys

I have the remora Aqua C and it sucks, not sure about the nano but im guessing it be the same,I couldnt belive how much skimate you actually get with a real skimmer.I have heard good things about tunze but have never persoanlly owned one.

Some may disagree but unless it's heavily stocked with fish (which in a 20g I hope not) I wouldn't even use a skimmer... 25% water changes on a 20g is a snap and keeping up on those should be more than enough waste export. In my opinion a skimmer on a 20g will waste space and electricity.

Have a tunze 9002 on a 29 FO/WLR and it works good, and it's quiet. It takes a bit to get it tuned in to skimming like you'd want it,but once adjusted you can mostly forget about it and let it run,and you don't have to readjust it every time you clean the cup or do some work in the tank.

Thanks for all the comments.

I used a Prizm skimmer for a long time on this tank, till I realized it really wasn't doing much and was a noisy pain in the butt. So, I've been running skimmerless for a few months now and it's worked pretty well since I only have two tiny fish (antenna goby and Rainford goby) Until I got really busy for a couple months and got behind in my water changes. I'm looking at going back to a skimmer to give me a little more leaway and make the system a bit more forgiving.

If I get one I'll be sure post a review.

Thanks again
Phil

Tunze skimmers are very good and have been brought up a lot in the past few months. They are very good compact skimmers and get the job done. Best part is they can be ran in the main tank or in a sump.
