Skimmer for JBJ 28 cube

I'm looking for some experience with a good skimmer for these. I've used the jbj air stone one (junk) and the aqua euro nano 2 (minimally better than junk). Does anyone know a good skimmer for these things?

Check out some of the build threads in the nano forum. The 2 that look most appealing to me are the HOB-1 and the Octopus BH-1000. I'm in the same boat as you and those are the 2 that I'm leaning toward. They're both HOB skimmers that allow you to keep your media basket as is. If you don't care to keep your media basket and you don't want a HOB you pretty much have to go with the Tunze that fits in the media column.

Look at the JBJ NC 28 build thread though and you'll see several options.

i cut the back of the cover out on my biocube 29 and hung a cpr backpack on it, it works so much better than any nano junk skimmer i used. go hang on the octo would be a good one i just got a deal on the cpr

I'm kind of worried about an HOB because of the overflow chance. I have the lid off the tank, are there any that can go in the tank? Have you had wet floors from the hobs?

i had a coralife ss that would flood if used as a hangon but one thing i like about the cpr is it free flows no water level to adjust so no flood
