SKimmer for QT?

I just put a yellow and Hippo tang (both small) into my 10g QT tank. They both might have Ich, but I am not sure yet, so I am continuing observation. I have not decided if I'm going to go the hypo route yet.

I have a Remora skimmer kicking around and thought it might be a good idea seeings I have 2 fish in 10g. Any opinions?

I don't think there is any downside and I suspect it will help oxygen level as well as water quality.
