Skimmer gone mad,

Not sure whats going on, 4 days ago I did a 5 gallon water change, and ever since my skimmer cup will fill up to the brim within literally a couple hours, no idea why, and its a little yellow not clear, but its filling up, before it would take 6 days top be maxed out and it would produce some nasty stuff. Any ideas here? Its a Aqua Medic T1000,,,

also I came home tonight to it full and my sump was also about a gallon low, so my tank had like a constant wave going into it of air, would this have anything to do with it or no?

The container you used for mixing the new batch new?
How did you do the change?
Whats the salinity level?

the container i bought new, but i use everytime for mixing, salinity is about 1.022 and i changed my removing the old, and then mixing the new in a garbage can rubbermaid thing for about an hour with a powerhead and then slowly poured in.

Did you use epoxy or add anything to your tank?

,,, yes everytime every way no probs,,, and no no epoxy,,, just all of a sudden POOF. i was like whats going on?

Same salt and water source and no new addtitions? Was your arm in the tank?
Something has to be differant.

something was different, or it is a cheap skimmer and got knocked out of whack. i have a cheap skimmer, and it has done that to me b4.

Try cleaning the air line that goes to the pump. When mine gets a little salt buildup in it, it will push more water then air into the skimmer causing the cup to fill.

Ya had the same problem, air line came off the venturi and just got water pumped it to it, drove nuts until I figured it out.

Increasing your salinity will make your skimmer more productive.
