Skimmer help please.

Hi. I need a skimmer for my new 90 gal. Friend has a Eshopps PSK-200 Skimmer for sale and I was wondering if it's worth getting? He's selling it for about $100, or should I wait and save a few months for an Octo?

That seems like a decent price for the skimmer if it's in good shape. Don't know much about the performance however, sorry.

Thanks Todd, yah seems like a fair price if it does what it says.

Hopefully if anyone has expereince with this skimmer they can chime in and let me know what they think about it. I can't seem to find any solid reviews about it on the net.

meh...it has a crappy pump on it, the resun...
I would suggest the SWC/MSX extreme 160 @ $269

but even the bubble magus NAC6 is better than the eshopps and it's $138 new w/ bubble plate and mesh wheel impeller.

Thanks skimmy for the info. The BM NAC6 looks good and can free up some cash for my LED lights. Found some reviews for it and sorting through them now.

The bubble magnus works well....but i'd avoid that nasty mesh stuff as with a via aqua pump it is quite a pain! Just use the pinwheel. I would take it hands down over the eshops

i wouldnt do the nac6 on a 90 gallon. go with the bubble magus recirc 160 or an octopus 150 recirc, or octo extreme 150/200. i have an octopus 150 recirc on my 75 and it pulls maddd crazy yo!! WEST SIIIIIIIIEEEED
