Skimmer ideas

Hey guys, It has been a while sense I posted much here. I apologize for that. I wanted to get some ideas from you guys.

I am in the market to buy a new Skimmer. The one I have is ok, but I am ready to upgrade to a top of the line skimmer now. What is the general consensus on skimmers now a days? I am running a 90g tank with a 20g sump/fug. I have looked at Bashsea, Reefoctopus, and a Hydor. I really do not know which is the one to get.

Can you guys way in on your choices and why?

If you want a no hassle, "set it and forget it" type skimmer that gets the job done, then I would look at the "ASM" series.

I'm running a setup really close to yours (90g DT, 29g Sump), and I really like my Reef Octopus SR 2000-INT. I don't think it would be consider "top of the line", but it runs around $350 and basically eliminated my cyano problem in a matter of days. It's also alarmingly quiet.

I like my RO also. Would love to get rid of it and change out for the vetex

Just a quick update.

I really appreciate the comments on the thread. A good friend of mine ended up giving me a very slightly used Reef Octopus DNW-150-6530. I have never had an external recirculating skimmer before, but it is working great so far.
