Skimmer Limpets?

I have a colony of small white limpets that appear to live exclusively in my skimmer. I see them in no other place in the tank, and in the skimmer I usually have 10-20 at a time. Anyone else have these? Mine have been living in my skimmer for several years now.

Yes...pick them off the skimmer body in/out every 6mos when it's pulled and serviced.

I have these guys only in my sump- I think it's great!

I can't see why I'd bother picking them off. I love these little guys. I was just wondering if anybody knew anything about them.

Here's a little information about the limpets. I've had them in my skimmer as well and never really payed them any attention.
