Skimmer Modification question.

Im wondering if i can drill a hole on the side near the bottom of my collection cup and hot glue a piece of tubing to go into a milk jug or some container to increase the capacity before i have to dump all the skimmate. will this effect anything? bad idea/good idea?

just drill it CAREFULLY!They tend to crack real easy..

any kind of specific drill bit?

Your best bet is to step drill them... (i.e. Use a very small drill bit and drill a hole then increase the size of the drill bits and repeat until you have the desired hole size)

I wouldn't recommend step drill with seperate bits it will most likely crack use a unibit they work the best......

Lose the hot glue idea too. Tap the hole and screw in a barbed hose fitting or a john guest. Looks more appealing.
