skimmer or not?

Just woundering if your useing a skimmer or not? i have a bio cube 29 and use a skimmer that someone gave me but dont think it does anything.

I use a aquatic life 115 and it doesn't do much compared to big sump skimmers but it still aerates the water if nothing else

skimmer is in chamber 1 and its round i think its a cheap one it just doesnt produce anything nothing compared to the one i have in onther tank

Didn't use a skimmer or sump on my 55 gallon reef for many years. Now I have a Nano, 12 gallon long, and have been doing the same. Skimmerless and sumpless. Have always enjoyed simple systems but to each their own.

I like having a skimmer. I have a aquamaxx WS-1 on my 18 gallon and it pulls out some dark expresso.
The quality of skimmer makes a big difference

running a 30 gal with an sca301. seeing the yummy gravy this thing pulls out makes me wonder how i could ever go without one.

I have a Tunze 9002 in the middle chamber of my BC29. It pulls out some really nasty sludge. I've had it in there for 8+ years, no issues with regular cleaning.
