What are the pros and cons of a skimmer that sits in the sump vs one that is external. I could probably do one either way. It would be easy to drill the sump (acrylic) if that is an issue.
Out of curiosity, why? I have an area under my cabinet that is about 8x19x36H. I wonder if the 8" is going to be a problem for something external. I know absolutely zero about skimmers. This is only going to be a 100 gallon tank.
