Skimmer sizing

Hey guys looking for a good size skimmer for my 180 with 30 gallon sump. I have 17x11" of room in my sump. Currently I am looking at reef octopus regal skimmers but not sure which one. Either the 200 or 250 I had in mind. But I don't want to oversize it. What's the general rule of thumb?

lol - my rule of thumb is to always oversize my skimmers... I typically use a skimmer that is rated by the manufacture to be 1.5x the actual water column in my tank/sump.

I went bare minimum on skimmer size when I did my 150DT and 40sump. I sold my old skimmer and went oversized by 2x
