Try this one..... The collection cup is designed to come off without taking the unit out of sump... Works great.... One of the best skimmers on the market....
I am afraid that it would be much too tight of a fit and I would not be able to remove the collection cup or have a drain line from my main that in that part of the sump. What would be another good brand that may be just a bit smaller?
You could have the drain line empty right on to the pump. My drain lines empty right onto the pump. I have no baffles in my sump. I felt that they would limit my skimmer selections. It is bad enough that my stand is soo short.
I am very happy with the ASM G3.
Check with Rob, but I think that the dimensions are a little oversized(like 1/2"-1") just so folks really know that it will fit in their sump.

No because then the skimmer would not fit under the stand. Your only way out of this is to redesign your sump, get a hang on skimmer or get a skimmer that sits outside of the sump.
Around 8" for most skimmers. What you have there will never work with anything normal. Hmmm... You could hang a Remora Pro from it and get decent performance. If you ponied up to a Deltec MCE600 you'd get awesome performance, but that's a different price point. You might need to rig it external with something other than an ASM if you want a standard needlewheel design type skimmer. Again a different price point.
