skimmer suggestions

new here but not to the hobby. i recently had my 125 bust on me. got a new one and made everything bigger and better. i have the 125 in my room and everything is plumbed out to the ajoining room. the drains drain through two 100 micron filter socks(dont mind the extra work) and then dumps into a 100g rubbermaid stock tub. in there i have a frag growout station with a 400w halide on reverse cycle. the skimmer i am running is the one i had run before, a corallife 220 needlewheel skimmer.

fish:

4 bar dartfish
4 gudgeon gobies
3 scissoratil dartfish
2 firefish
5 chromis
1 sixline wrasse
1 5" yellow tang(still iffy on if i want to keep him or get a baby.)
1 scooter blenny.

total system volume about 210 gallons.

and here is the catch... i am only 16:mixed: and have already spent over $1,000 on my sump, one halide retro, pumps, canopy, stand, plumbing, etc i was at the point where i had $900 in my bank and a steady flow of $200 every other week. now i have $20 and a 3/8 tank of gas.

borrowing money is an option but i dont want to get way into debt as i already need to buy vho's and a couple seio's. what is your opinion, should i keep skimmer i have and do a few mods on it or:

terminator II- heard lots of good things about this, havent heard too many opinions from hobbyist though.
