skimmer upgrade

I am using a cpr bak pak on my 46. it's ok but looking for better.
Any suggestions?

IMO, the best reasonably priced option is a Aqua C Remora or Remora Pro. I used to have a Pro on my old 30G and it worked great, maybe even overkill - the Remora might be good enough. Runs on a MJ 1200, IIRC.

I also had a remora on my 46 bowfront, it did a fantastic job. Probably one of the best options for a hang on.

I second the Aqua C Remora. I haven't used that model but the company produces fine skimmers for a reasonable price.

My Tunze Nano skimmer does a pretty good job but I doubt it could keep up with a 46 gallon. Most HOB skimmers kinda suck (the CPR most definitely included), so check all the reviews and stick with a reputable brand when deciding.

count me in as 3 for the aqua c. I have the pro version with a mag 3 on a heavily stocked 65 and it works great!!

DITTO on the Remora!!!!!!!Traded mine for a coralife super skimmer......MAN I miss the Remora!!
