Hi,
I just got my Eheim pulls up to 420L/H and this is what I got. Hopefully I can get it pulling up to 600+ like Mchava. My water level is set at the bottom of the cone.

Thanks,
Loc

Nice looking skimmer. What kind of skimmer is that and is it a recirc skimmer? I see from your info you have (had) an ETSS 800 skimmer. How does this skimmer compare to your ETSS? I have an ETSS 1000 and Im thinking of changing it.

This is my diy BK and the bubbles a lot smaller than my ETSS 800, it runs more stable than the ETSS regardless of the sump water level. Besides ETSS requires a pressure pump to run it effectively, yours is ETSS 1000 probably needs at least an Iwaki md 70 or 100 to run it, that would take a lot of juice.

hey loc how did you make the lid? how does it stay on the collection cup? do you have any pics of that? also how do you cut circles?

The lid looks exactly like the Euroreef but without the logo. I cut it with a dremel tool and with the circle cutter attachment.

do you have a link to the dremel piece? i bought one and it didnt work very good. did you use the bit supplied with the kit?

You are right. My ETSS-1000 uses an Iwaki MD70 pump which is around 300 watts. How much did this project cost you minus the pump? Ill probably sell my ETSS once I complete my skimmer project.

It costs around $150-200 depending your acrylic source.
