Skimmer

I'm having some awesome luck with my Aqua C Remora Pro and Mag 7 pump. Premium aquatics sells it as a package deal with a taller collection cup, but I'm using the stock one and havent overflowed my gallon collection jug yet. Pulls some dark green gunk!

The remora pro is not a bad skimmer but It would be for more of a 40-55 gallon tank.

I dont know any skimmer that would really be good for that large of a tank that is Hang on.

Any reason you dont do a sump?

The Lifereef is JUST that skimmer;)

With no knowledge of them and just looking at the pics they look like a expensive version of a coralife SS that is becket style. lol

I assume they are better then that but have never seen anyone that uses them. Dave you have used these before?

I wouldn't recommend a skimmer that I haven't used:) My best friend has been using my old Lifereef VS2-24 on my old 120g for the past 6 years. Self cleaning venturi, very dependable and built like a tank.

I used a sea clone for over a year. Tired of cleaning and screwwing with it to get the O rings to seal afterward. I Dont have a reef ready tank. I have heard to many bad things with a siphon box. The tank is in my living room. Never had an algae problem. Before I switched from fresh to salt I built a refuge on the back wall. I also have over 300lbs of live rock.

The live reef skimmer looks great. Just dont have that kind of cash right now. Im going to try the coralife 125.
