What would happen if you use a higher GPH pump on a skimmer? For instance, using a higher GPH pump than those recommended for a Remora.

On a Remora, if you use a higher GPH pump, it might actually work.

Of course, the one I had did not, but give it a shot - those skimmers seem to be hit or miss for people. Mine missed.

Indyman I too also have a sedra 5000 on my G2. I don't see why ASM didn't put the 5000 on the G2 and offer it as a G2x. The G3 and G2 have the exact same body size at 6.5" but the G3 has a 50g higher rating at 250 instead of the 200g rating the G2 has.

if u are trying to get better skimming try the surface skimmer attachment for the remora. it made quite a difference when i was using it. if your using it in a sump then u might want to try a different pump.
