Skunk Cleaner Problem

Somehow, my shrimp's whiskers either got eaten by someone or they ALL broke off.

I would provide a pic, but he's been in hiding for weeks now. I'm very suspicious of the yellow tang (which I sold) I had. It ate everything (the tang).

I have 5 bg chromis, 1 ocellaris, 1 royal gramma and a 6 line. The shrimp is over 1 1/2 years old and this crew has been together for at least 8 months (most longer).

So my question is, does anyone know if they'll grow back? He's always been such a great pet, we miss him hanging out and ruling the tank.

Thanks

He's hiding because something in your tank (I'm looking at you, sixline wrasse and your friend royal gramma) is trying to eat him. They will grow back next time he molts, if he's not eaten then or in the interim.

My suggestion is to get him out of your display and into your refugium to let him recover while you decide which you like better, your shrimp or your fish.

I had this happen to my cleaner as well. don't know if this is what happened to yours but mine got his chopped short by my koralia 1. He must have learned though because it hasn't happened again, and they were back to normal length after he molted.

The shrimp and gramma have lived peacefully together for over a year. The 6 line got added about 6 months ago.

This didn't start until I added a young yellow tang. It was a total pig and ate everything and was quite a spaz, which is why I sold it.

I gave him a little shrimp tonight and I noticed that what's left of his antennae are brown on the ends. Possible disease?
