Skunk Shrimp full of Eggs

I was just going to make a post questioning what the eggs look like because one of mine looks like it has tones of eggs but I've never seen green shromp eggs. Is that what color yours is?

Their eggs are indeed green to start with.

These are guys are very touch larvae to raise to meta because their larvae stage is so long (more than 120 days). Few people have had success with them, but some have raised small quantities. Luis on here, I know has had a some success.

His thread is in the Archive. Search for { Lysmata } and it should show up.

My skunk has been producing a lot of eggs lately as well.. just no males in the tank. She is the only shrimp. She tends to get loaded up with eggs, then lose them after a few days.

Interesting! it would be cool to see the little larvae swimming around but I think my fish would think there fish food!!!!!:

I will check out that thread you mentioned Landlord.

Thank you,

if you get the chance to see the eggs hatch, it is a trip...
thousands of tiny fry everywhere! mine always hatched at night (at least the two times i saw)

fish ate them all...

My latz tank has several peppermints in it which seem to want to hatch on the same night. Thought I had a thousand fry the last time... until further inspection.
