Slimer, mount or not?

New to Acro's, aquired a 4" frag of a green slimer two weeks ago. Getting ready to move it over to DT next week but unsure if I should mount it to a rock or not. Also currently it is in a 20 Long lit with 96 watts 10k pc's, the Display is a 46 lit with 2 150 hqi's, should I place it on the sand and slowly move it up or place it midway in the rockwork?

It is good practice to move up slowly. If you can, mount it to a small rock that won't get knocked around by snails and move it to it's permanent spot that way. Shoving it in the sand will enable all of the bacteria to enter into the freshly cut xoo and infect your coral - like shoving a freshly severed finger into a stadium toilet.

Hey...would you shove a almost healed severed finger into a stadium toilet...just wondering...lol

Thanx for the frags homie...

I have before, that's what I'm saying... Thanks for the Slimer frag Justin - speaking of Slimer. I had no idea that an 1 1/2" frag could produce so much snot.

I'd mount it horizontal. Puts down a better base and will produce more branches that way.

BTW I never got to see that frag mature thanks to Katrina. I must be an idiot for starting my tank back up again. :(
