Slow forum

It always seems to hold true, the forum is just a lot slower in the summer than the winter. I always use to question this but finally figured out it is what it is. I think Pedro mentioned it at the last meeting even. I am as guilty for not posting as much in the simmer as the next guy. I do try to post when I have something new to say or show, but I just don't have much going on with the system. Still just trying to get it right. I read all the posts daily and add what .02 I have if I have any. I think most all the members still come on and have a look and say something if they have anything new to add. Well okay I have gone on for long enough. :debi:

well i have started looking on other forums more, and i did mention it. but i joined STARS last summer and i dont think it was this slow ??? anyways no biggie, what we really need is more newbs or random people to join and contribute. And i dont know how that needs to happen but is a topic that should be a focus. and im assuming the trip to albq, is the july meeting ??

Just said something about this the other day to Eric. Even the coral reef sees less shoppers in the summer that's why it opens at 4 now and stays open later in the evening. With kids home I think the average person spends the summer months doing abit more outside the home and not as much inside.

Hopefully when colder weather turns people indoors we will have some new tanks to help set up. I'm always looking for a excuse to talk shop. I'll get some photos right now so you have something to look at too!

cause in the summer girls start wearing less clothes so they are funner to look at. winter more clothes = fish tank prettier. just a theory.

i know that summer is when i am the bussiest with my work. long days and short nights. most of the days are spent on the phone or in the field and i barely have time to clean the glass and dose my tank before i fall asleep. winter shows up and nothing to do at work but peruse the internet. anyways that is my excuse. im sure i am the only one that is ever busy at work.

Oh, it's not a THEORY. you should come here to Tempe and see the local talent and what they wear around here. All I can say, WOW! I feel like I died and am in heaven :)

i think we have reached an all time low now. haha.
Here is my excuse: $800 craigslist summer project. I promise the tank is doing well!

My youngest daughter watches craigslist daily and has been on me for a 4X4 for a year now. I made a deal that if she found one for less than $500 I would get. Well, we found a 65 and I drug it home. It needs some work so this orange one was to be a parts vehicle which she found on craigslist also. We were the first to call the guy and I did not even try to talk him down. It was located on the east side of EP. When we got it home we wondered about the stripping on it and the, well, bold color. Turns out this is an SS II and is one of only 783 made in 1977! So now it is the project.

I have to admit I'm hooked on craigslist now and am watching it daily too! :uhoh3:

Not a Scout SS II one of only 783 made but still fun. Just a 1978 GMC Suburban 4x4, one of who knows how many made. Seats 9 in comfort. It's crazy the original window sticker was still in the glove box when I picked this thing up a few weeks ago. Base price with dealer prep was $7,067.40 with the options on it it had a new MSRP of $11,032.70. I remember buying a brand new 1978 Chevy short bed truck with a 350 and four speed for $8,200, my how things have changed.

I've had my own fair share of projects keeping me busy, the main one being my $300 farm truck daily driver I bought back in March. About 90% ready

I bought this to part out for the orange one but it is too nice to dismantle. It will be headed to Ebay shortly as wife is saying something has to go!!
